ls6 engine for sale.
ls6 engine for sale. I am going to be selling the engine in my car to make room for a 402. The car has 80k on it, and i am selling it complete from intake with tb to oil pan. I want to get 3k for it but the price is negotiable. anyone that is serious about buying the engine can see it run or ride in the car. The engine runs strong with zero issues.
used LS1/6's dont bring that kinda cash... ever. You should ask some of the veterans of the forum what would be a good asking price. Might be lucky though and fetch 2k for it on ebay. Just MHO. I am not harrassing you, just trying to be informative.
well i realize 3k is probably a little high, but if people will pay 1500 for a good running ls1, an ls6 is worth atleast 1000 more between the better ls6 heads, ls6 intake tb, and cam. which I also have the 02 ls6 cam that i would include. plus my engine i can prove runs well. it is in the vehicle i daily drive. At the least you would only need new bearings and rings and you could have almost 400 at the rear wheels with bolt ons.

You get parts for a fair price here because people know what those parts should sell for.
i think in the mid 2k's will be a good price, i got priced for 1900 on a damn ls1 from a ls1tech member, told them to go screw them selves. i can find LS1 setups with the transmission and wiring for $2500 and up, i really dont think it would be bad for $2500 because it is an LS6, you could prob get way over 1500 parting it.

A friend of mine found a web site selling brand new long block LS6 for $3000.00. And I think LS1/6 are coming down in price due to the 6.0 liter. Because I remember a year or so ago you couldn't touch an LS motor for less than 2000 even a high mileage one. I agree with the statement one member made about ebaying it...Ebayers pay way too much, but that's good for you! Good luck I hope you can sell it for what you are wanting to get!

i have seen the long blocks go for around two thousand, but Long blocks dont include ls6 intake and tb. Also i am throwing in another cam. Those things are worth another 500. And alot of times when you buy a used engine you are just taking someones word for it, that it runs well. My engine is still in the car, and i can prove it still runs well. And even if someone wanted a new engine, you could get a machine shop to put in new bearings and rings. It wouldnt cost that much and you would essentially have a new complete engine for a price you arent going to buy one, not a complete engine anyway.
