Playstation 3 Issues?
Playstation 3 Issues? I was reading a similar thread about the X-Box 360 locking up and people mentioned that the PS3 would lock also. I just bought a PS3 last week for my wife and I to play and noticed that on the Star Wars Battlezone II game, it would sometimes just freeze. My wife thought it was a bad game disc, but after reading about the other PS3's that lock, I'm thinking it might be the machine. Who else has the PS3 and what's good/bad about them? Should I have gotten the X-Box instead? Give me your thoughts! Thanks.

I haven't had any trouble with my ps3 (knock on wood). I am however on my 4th 360. Not knocking either system or trying to be a fanboy. Think it all comes down to luck with these new systems. Glad I bought the warranty on both though.

Most people don't know that Sony is already on the 3rd gen console for the PS3's, if you have on that was relased in the 1st batch it's got some cooling issues, which is the ones most are having problems with, the 2nd gen consoles have a tendenciy to loose the controller contection...I recently bought my PS3 simply cause I kinda kept up with all the problems and such, buy as said, If it's stuck in a cabinet or somewhere it won't get airflow, chances are it's going to overheat and lock up no matter what gen console you have...and I myslef am waiting on the release of NFS: Prostock (name's kinda missleading) and Jucied 2 looks pretty cool to, (not from the import side of things)
