Default Anyone here lay concrete drive ways?

I am looking to extend my drive way and wanted to see if anyone here works or knows someone that lays concrete for a living or on the side. I'm tired of going off roading on the side of my drive way!! Stupid builders.

If you're talking about widening, just do it yourself. It wouldn't be that much work. You could rent the mixer, build the platform, rebar, pour, smooth, texture, done. Its definitely a job if you're doing a big section, then that's when you need a truck to come in, but if you're talking about making it wider like I think you are, then no need for it.

If you see some guys pouring the flatwork (driveways, sidewalks, etc) at a new homebuilder site near you, see if you can find the guy running the crew. He'll probably be the one guy that speaks English. They'll take a cash job in a heartbeat, and it'll look right when they're done.

EDIT: I wasn't saying anything bad in the above about the one guy speaking English. It comes from experience when I was a superintendent for a homebuilder here in Houston.
