Leaving your number is a silly thing to do. And as far as an address? Like I said, if you are that foolish to leave a real number and an address, you need to be careful what you write. Next time, get your parents permission first before you log in!

Thats just me being a jerk.....i got that info off of google for some police sub station. Never really even been to Baytown. However, healthy discussion and dialogue is good but this topic is the main cause for wars and unrest throughout history. Be careful...I just don't wanna turn on the news (Fox btw...oh oh there goes another thread) and see people throwing rocks at each other in Baytown or Pearland or wherever. It is good to be passionate, but we also should be respectful, especialy when it comes to their beliefs. The thing that God offers people is hope. No one wants to die, but if you believe in God and accept Jesus as your personal savior than you will have eternal life. It should affect you in your everyday life, but Christians aren't perfect. But, they are forgiven.

One more thing...I know you hear this all the time but you should really thank veterans and reflect on what they did for this country. I say this because looking through this thread, whether it is in jest or it is really what you believe there are posts in here that would get you killed in other parts of the world. God Bless the USA baby!

The problem I have here is you guys seem to think you have the right to judge people because you're religios folks. That's pretty sad, because if you "practiced what you preached" you'd know only God can judge us.

If you read the bible instead of ignoring it you would know there IS a difference between sex, and unmarried sex.
Alot of the questions asked about the bible are pretty simple to find and understand either by reading the book or simple searches on bible Q&A. Most non-beliving folks always use partial text from the bible or something they heard that came from the bible to try and counter Christian believes. A classic example is ( Why does God let children suffer or die ) just read a little and you will understand the world alot better. Look at it this way, would you build your car just by what other people tell you? Or would you research for yourself on the parts you want and then decide?
Why should homosexuals have different rights just because of there sexual preference ? They are no more special than any other human on this earth. It seems to me they want to use the homosexual excuse if they dont get hired, they will claim its because they are gay.

agreed. two hetero people cannot be overly embrasive in public. that is public lewdness or indecency or whatnot. i dont go around in public advertising the fact that i'm straight. i keep my personal life personal.

This is a perfect example of why mainstream 'Religion' and 'Church' and 'Christianity' sucks. I'm sure somewhere somebody has been affected by some of these fanatics, but 99.99% of the time, the only thing they're doing is turning people off to spirituality. Screaming at people that they're going to hell is not the way to help them see things from your perspective.
Wrong wrong wrong wrong. There is nothing "mainstream" about these folks. If it was, there would've been 400 or 4000 there doing that, not 4. You're entitled to your flawed opinion, but don't base it on flawed logic about what mainstream is.

I think society as a group is tired of the 'Bible Thumpers' because they spend so much time talking about what the Bible says and not enough time doing what the Bible says. There are so many 'Religious' figures out there that are always on TV just condemning people to hell and telling them they are living bad, immoral lives, and that God is waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike them down.

Christians are supposed to live like Jesus, not talk like Jesus.

There are plenty of stories where Jesus befriended people that weren't "good" people. He defended prostitutes and had dinner with people with dirty tax collectors. He never condemned these people. Jesus never once said he approved of their lifestyle, but that didn't stop him from practicing what he was preaching.

The fact of the matter is that there are more gay people in society than we probably know. The job of a Christian isn't to make these people outcasts, its to live your life in a way that shows Jesus' love to these people, even if you disagree with their 'lifestyle'.

'Religion' or 'Christianity' aside, I think it's sad we should even have to have laws like this. It shouldn't matter if somebody is black/white/gay/straight/short/tall/fat/skinny/ugly/pretty for you to hire them. You just hire whoever you think will do the best job.
Well said Ben, pretty sure that's how it's meant to be right there. +1

That's sort of a poor argument.

See gay people don't go around sticking dicks in everyones nose at the bar, but smokers hook everyone up with something that is scientifically proven to be harmful to your health. Just a thought.

If you'll take the time to go back and re-read what I wrote, you'll notice I refered to them as 'fanatics', meaning that they are not 'mainstream'.

The problem is that it is these select few who manage to ruin 'Christianity' and 'The Church' and 'Religion' for everybody. People see the types of people I saw that night on the corner, or the 'TV Evangelists' that turn out to be thieves, or get caught with prostitutes, or cheating on their wives, or child abusers or whatever, and get the impression that all 'Christians' are like this.

I'm not saying it's a good or accurate assumption to make, but the fact of the matter is that this is how it works. It's very similar to how 'car' people are labelled as 'irrisponsible street racers' because one drunk, dumb, teenager decides to do something dumb and winds up killing an innocent person.

Like I said, Christians should more spend time acting like Jesus acted, and less time talking like him.
