You obviously haven't watched any college football this year if you think anything that has happened to UT has been a surprise with the 26th hardest schedule. All the big teams have struggled against small time opponents.

The AGGIES got blown out by Miami who barely beat Duke the next week and got killed by OU

i'm definately sorry if that's how you think it works...

so if our tailback and WR are so good, why aren't they gonna go in the top 10...because there are better position players than them...plus, about half of the league wants upgrades at WR...it's just that Texas don't have any worth drafting in the top 10...

nobody ever told me who these superstars for the Horns were...

you keep mentioning 26th hardest schedule...but you have failed to state that we have been in the top 5 in recruiting for the last 10 years or so...plus, the Big 12 is a weak conference...

at the end of the season the Horns won't be ranked under #20...i smell a complete collapse at OU...then a heartbreaking loss to Nebraska...and top it off with a horrible display in College Station...and i HATE the aggies...

it's gonna be a tough year for the Horns...

Limas Sweed is the second best WR in the draft, our running back isn't going pro but will probably be a Heisman candidate next year.

We also have 2 of the DT in the game with Lokey and Okam

here are a list of our athletes on award watch lists:

The Preseason All-Big 12 team included junior RB Jamaal Charles, senior OT Tony Hills, McCoy and senior WR Limas Sweed on offense, and seniors S Marcus Griffin, DT Derek Lokey and DT Frank Okam on defense. Texas has now led the conference in preseason selections for three consecutive years.

Sweed named to Biletnikoff Award watch list

Charles named Doak Walker Award candidate

University of Texas seniors OT Tony Hills, DT Derek Lokey and DT Frank Okam have all been selected to the watch list for the 38th annual Rotary Lombardi Award, presented by Wachovia, honoring the top lineman in college football.

McCoy, who is also a member of the Maxwell Award watch list (nation's outstanding collegiate football player), Davey O'Brien Award watch list (college football's best quarterback) and Manning Award watch list (nation's top quarterback)

Finley named to Mackey Award watch list

and we suck because of Greg Davis

preseason All-Big 12...doesn't mean much...Big 12 is weak...

sounds good...but are they getting drafted in the first round...prolly not...

and i honestly don't see McCoy being a great college QB...all of those awards are just "watch lists" that started before the season...i'm sure it has come to a screaching halt after seeing his numbers and performance this year...

One of the largest Draft Data Bases on line. Here the Rankins,
http://walterfootball.com/draft2008WR.php

They have Sweed #10, I was checking it out before bouncing back to this site.

1. DeSean Jackson*, California, if he comes out will be top wr.

2. Early Doucet, LSU

3. Malcolm Kelly*, Oklahoma, If he comes out.

and local guy

.12 Donnie Avery, Houston - 4.28 40. And he's not even the fastest guy on the team. LOL

Kiper doesn't include the underclassmen, but the other still had a couple Sr. ahead of him.

Mel Kiper isn't gonna make the Horns go back into the top 5, and neither is Sweed...

the Horns are done, and as i've mentioned, they will lose AT LEAST 2 more games this year after they get rolled by OU...

Sweeds stock is droping my the minute. In fact, there was just a front page article in the Houston Chronicle discussing his ****-poor performance. If he keeps this up by the end of the year he will be lucky to be a 2nd rounder. BTW have you ever seen mel Kiper, guys a total douchebag.

he's been injured this year you expect his stock to rise when he isn't healthy?
