Help me pick my cam........... Alright, I have a 98 LS1 in my 96 Z28, The engine is going in saturday, the next thing Im thinking is cam. I want something that will make alot of power with what Im running rite now. When I swap the cams I am also going to go with a set of either 241 or 243 heads depending on how much money I have and eventually a LS6 intake. My current mods as follows:
Hooker Super Comp Headers
X-Pipe w/ Dynomax Bullets
F1 Lightweight Flywheel
!Air, !A/C !Skip Shift !EGR, Rev Limit has been raised, no governor.
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
6-Speed car of course with short throw. I know Ill also need springs so that will be a must also, anything else I should consider when doing this swap?
What will be the best lift and/or duration. Thanks

Why not do the heads and the cam with the engine on the stand, then put it in the car?
FWIW, one of my coworkers has your bolt ons, plus under drive pulley and LS6 intake. He put 415 to the ground with an MS4 cam recently

nice numbers! I cant afford to do that at the moment, I dont mind changing it all in the car, I like to work on my car. Im not rich lol. I just paid $2600 for this whole complete setup so Im kinda in the hole after buying the extra stuff to make it run.
