If your talking about the immediate Houston area, then you might want to give Fisk a try. They sent me to school for two years every monday night only and had me work on site as an apprentice before finishing the third year. You join the IBEW (International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers) #776 and with your experience if your not asking to start out with too much can probably start around the $12 to $15 an hr side. It depends on how you apply yourself to get where your going. After my 2nd year I was already learning how to terminate Fiber Optic ends as well as your everyday Cat 5e etc. I wanted to join the elecrical side but there was a waiting list of 200 + people and only 20 at that time for the Data Technology. Fisk Technologies is the company and I think the address is 1000 TC Jester....and by the way, when you finish your 3rd year of free schooling (You just pay for the books about $250 a year) then your supposed to start off at around $17 per hr.
