if i can get my car running... the tiny *** wires for the resistor in the key got worn out and i'm trying to figure out a way to fix them permanently...

I had a 2000 model z28 before I got my 02 ss and i had the same problem, I ended up replacing the key cylinder and BCM it cost me $800 total, the key cylinder is about $200 from the dealer. if you try to bypass it and get it wrong you WILL be replacing the BCM also.

i got my friend craig commin with me, he has some engine noise when its cold.. hopefully we can diagnose it friday at the meet.

what are the plans after the meet?

I had that same electrical problem a while back so I just kind of bypased it.
Only problem is my security light is always on. My alarm and all that still works except it doesnt worry about te resistor anymore. 2 minuit job.

nah i ended up getting it fixed. i wired in some thin wire from a telephone i took apart. i sauldered it and it's back to normal. thanx for the input guys.

i'll be there a little after 8 because i have to work, but plan on me being there. i might have a friend or 2 with me. i just have to talk to everyone.

and i'm with trojan... i think we should make it an effort to take home some hooters chicks. lol
