Nick Hogan charged as an adult in the crash...
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
it's "Russian" roulette, as in "from Russia".but i agree, it was stupid for him to not have a seatbelt on when he knew:
1) that Nick had been drinking, and
2) that they were going to be racing
Personally, I think some of you are just being haters since:
1. Nick's Dad is Hulk Hogan and has a lot of cash.
2. Nick is very popular with the girls, probably gets more *** than all of us combined
3. Nick has several high-HP cars to drive around in.
4. Nick is sponsored by Mopar due to his TV status.
I mean come on, if this was just some ordinary non-celebrity middle class kid that was being immature/cocky and crashed his car, you guys wouldn't feel so much hate towards him. For the record, I think he is also a cocky punk rich kid, but I don't hate him for that.
I grew up with dozens of guys just like him at my high school, I don't hate any of them. Most of them are now broke asses still suckling on momma's tit, and I'm not

i don't dislike him because he's not "some ordinary non-celebrity middle class kid", i dislike him because he's never going to learn his lesson until he ends up killing himself or some innocent family because he's acting like a douchebag.....especially pulling stupid **** like this when he's been drinking.....
-sorry thats wrong he lost Mopar when he crashed the 3rd of 3 vipers they gave him....Now he is sponsored by Polaroid and BF Goodrich and drives a supercharged 350z and is working a on a TT charged one for the 08 season..

I still think most of you replying are being hypocrites. I know I did some very stupid **** at age 17. Wrecking a car isn't uncommon to younger kids who drink. Hell, I started drinking at age 14 thanks to high school football

As for adult charges, I don't agree. The reason is, we're more and more often charging children as adults as if this is a means to an end. It isn't. Our laws should either be changed to reflect a younger age as "adult" or we should enforce the laws as they exist and move along. Our courts are out of hand, making it up as they feel suited and I'm really tired of it. Another answer, rather than charging as an adult is to make the punishment for children worse than it is for various "crimes" across the board.
As for the boy himself, he deserves a serious penalty. He's broken many many laws where driving is concerned and he's been caught in the act many times. Further, the law enforcement should be charged as well, for "clearing things up" in the past, simply because Terry "Hulk Hogan" is among the rich and famous. When you constantly brush aside someones wrongdoings, it will bite hard in the end.
Had I done something so foolish at 17, the law would be the least of my worries. My FATHER would be my concern!! Of course, he'd never have allowed my to get to the point we're discussing... He'd have beaten me into submission long before that, not to mention kept me in the house when not working or in school. But then, he was a parent, not a friend.
As much as I hated it at times, I love my father and I respect him because he actually DID what was right, even when it was "mean" or difficult.Bottom line: Parents need to be just that, including the rich. Police should do their job, REGARDLESS the money confronting them. Courts should UPHOLD the law, not make it as they go. And children should be treated as if they're children, and act accordingly.
Any chance you're running for president? You'd get my vote...
