I drove around on a yank 3600 extreme and I though it was pretty mild in my SS.
Everyone has their own tolerances though.

I DD my 02 WS6 with a Yank 4200 with stock 3.23 gears and it takes a little getting use to but liveable,it would help to get it tuned and I'm told a gear swap to either 3.73's or 4.10's would be awesome!

I guess it vary's from shop to shop? I had V6bird on here(he is banned as of right now) and got it done for like $250 but you have to get a good sized tranny cooler to go along with it and it would greatly help to get it tuned also!

Go to Jason @ TDP.. he'll through one in there for about $200.00.. with fluids.. and you won't have to worry about it again!

Good luck..

I also DD with a Vig3600 stll with 323's.. I love it and would not have it any other way..

i have a yank 3200 with a transmission cooler. it is perfect for daily driving because it didnt mess with my gas mileage too much. everybody is going to have their own opinion on what you should get, but really the only way for you to decide is to experience each one yourself. you are the one who has to drive it everyday so you should get what is right for you. good luck with the search!

I used to use the search alot, but if you havent noticed. its alot different. I can search for thread titles. and it just brings me up a bunch of posts etc. that have nothing to do with what im looking for.. and I don tthink there is a problem with me posting here. I've gotten PMs from local sponsors with prices etc that I likely wouldnt hve gotten in the trans forum.

by the way.. all that i've ever seen you post is bullshit, you arent a mod.

i was driving my 3200 yank stall with TD's around hilly *** san marcos and wanted to shoot myself... low gear was needed in some parts. i cant imagine if i had anything bigger, woulda been a big pain in the ***.

but yea i say 3200SS with a B&M tranny cooler. you should be fine paid 470 for my converter and 70 for the cooler. install was 50 bucks.
