sounds like to much work to try on my almost new T/A lol she shifts great at high rpms all the way through so i think i wont need to do that mod for awhile

I think I'm going to "attempt" to do the drill mod tomorrow to my Firehawk. I can't stand my lazy clutch pedal .

The drill mod is drilling the orifice inside of the braided line. My pedal stuck one time during a 1-2 shift. I did the mod and it hasn't happened again. It stands to reason that you would need free flowing fluid while maintaining the required constant pressure. I think it helped me. I would do it again. BTW, I still have all my stock hydraulic components.

pretty sure you have to drill that hole there, its not there from the factory.

also like mellow said if its sticking at high rpms its more than likely the pressure plate is too weak. i just went through this with my roomates SS. we replaced everything in the hydrolic system... even replaced the slave 2 times with new oem parts, did the drill mod. nothing worked. finaly replaced the clutch and pressure plate with a Spec 3 and it shifts perfectly now. The stock clutch is too weak to deal with higher than stock power outputs. the springs in the pressure plate flaten out at high rpms.

also if your car is older than 01 get the new hydrolic stuff its better

I have a LS6 clutch and slave, about 3000 miles old...i have the same problem, when shifting too fast. It doesnt do it right away, only after i have shifted a couple of times, does it start sticking. A friedn of mine told me to do the drill mod too.

yeah i put a new slave, master, PP, CD, and TOB on there and it still has some spongyness to it. i am going to perform a drill mod tommorrow to see if i can get it worked out. btw i was doing all of the bleeding by hand and probly didnt get every bit of air out but i bled the entire damn system like 5 times each of like 3 different days. tommorrow when ido the drill mod ill have a mity vac though so hopefully ill solve that.

So to tell if its my pressure plate itll always seem to bomb on high rpm shifts, or just sometimes? my seems to do it at 5500 and above. My master and slave are only roughly 8months old and the fluid is only a week old

i did it and it wasnt my the drill mod! it helped a bit but not to much! but its my clutch! its going bye bye!!!
