there is no less cultural intolerance and immaturity in TX than anywhere else... you only tend to see it when you travel because you become the victim.

LMAO.

Seriously, it IS better than most but we need to keep it under our hats. The secret is getting out and way too many liberal fruitcakes are moving out here from California... at least here in Central TX. Those fuggers need to turn around and go right back. They screwed up their state and now they want to come here and screw up ours.
Ha ha, I dunno about that one. If I had a choice, Id be on the first plane back to Cali.
FYI, people in California are saying the same thing about conservative inbreds from Texas

you'd be surprised at how many people actually ARE being serious when they say stuff like that.

i work in a call center and talk to people all over the world, and when i tell them i live in TX, it really shocks the **** out of them because i don't sound like it.

i tell them "i try my best".

it's not that i don't like TX (other than the heat), i just can't stand the drawl, and hate it when people do say **** like that and are serious about it.

I totally agree about the speech part. When i first moved here there were people I couldnt even understand, almost like Texas was a different country. And vice versa- they couldnt understand why I used the word "hella" in every sentence
