Go lookup the ADBA or UKC breed standard for pitbulls.........Its VERY vague and only specifies proportion and general structural conditions. Thats because APBTs and Staffordshires are working dogs that are bred for a purpose. Its been documented of Hills' original line to have dogs over 80 years ago that exceed 100 lbs. They had no stamina and were eventually culled out. The posterboy dogs now are either these stumpy blue dogs or the longer legged pullers like the Eddington and Dagger lines. Both still fall in the same catagory. You can actually introduce other lines of dogs into the current blood line and retain the APBT standard after a few generations. Hence all the not talked about mastiff and american bulldog interlacing.
