.....but i have to ask.....why did you loan something out to someone you didn't know in the first place, without some form of collateral?

i'd never loan something that expensive to someone unless i was right there with them, watching them use it, or unless i had something of equal or greater value of theirs to hold onto until they returned it.

i'm all about helping people who need help, but there's a difference between that and giving away hard-earned money.....i put up with too much **** at work for my money to just have it taken away like that......
