Default What Should My Next Mod. Be?

Ok so after Christmas and New Years is done with, I plan on throwing a little something into my Firehawk. I know for sure that I'm going to have it dynotuned, I just don't know what else would make a nice power gain. I was thinking like an intake or something. I will have about a good $1K to play with and my dynotune will run me about $350, so that doesn't leave me much to play with. This is my first LS1 so I'm not too familiar with them. The mods. that are already on my car are in my sig. if it helps any. Oh yeah, What do ya'll think my car will run in the 1/4 mile the way it's sitting?

Thanks for the help, Ryan.

If I can find a used LS6 intake and used LT's for a good price, I'll do that. I just need to set aside $350 for my dynotune. I always know I can sale my midtubes to a guy here in town with an SS. I'm sure he'll buy 'em.

you should be able to get a set of Pacesetters for 250-300 and an ls6 intake for 300ish.

I remember seeing that ad on craigslist one day. Didn't really think about it cause I have mid tubes, wasn't really worried about going to LT's but I think I'm gonna make the switch here pretty soon. I'm gonna call up that guy probably tomorrow, see what he has to say.

underdrive pulley is a good one for the money too.

i also definatley advocate doing as many of the intake/exhaust related bolt ons as possible before getting your tune. might want to get your LT's and LS6 intake first.

There was some guy a few days ago selling a couple of ls6 intakes and he is located in Pearland. Check back a few days worth of threads and I think it will pop up under 2 ls6 intakes for sale. He wanted $350 for each

I had thoughts of getting a cam, I was thinking the LS6 cam if anything. Don't wanna go with nothing too big. Gotta use the T/A as my daily driver.

I had the X-1 cam from MTI in my daily driver. I got about 25mpg on the hwy and about 18 in the city. It was a bad *** cam for the size.. I ran a 12.1 @117 with a 1.8 60'.. If your gonna get a tune I would wait until you got the intake and headers put on.. Or if you plan on getting a cam I would wait till after the cam.. -Cody

I can tell you one of your big problems is that flowmaster catback. It's seriously chocking the exhaust. It may sound somewhat good but they are anything but serious power adders.

LT headers and UD pulley is my suggestion

Yeah I know. I don't even like the way it sounds. Too quiet. Make's me feel like I'm driving a Kia. Sometimes I have to look at my RPM's to check if my car is on. I'm thinking about getting an SLP Loud Mouth cat-back or Magnaflow.
