Default Someone good with numbers here?

I got a quote for an '08 Trailblazer SS.

Driveout was right at 35,000 with my trade in added which I would be upside down in.

Anyway, I got told that my payments would be 720 a month.

I dont know how many months, either 60 or 72 I assume.

Can someone tell me the interest rates that the two different situations would be?

What I have is this:

A- 720*60= 43,200.00
B- 720*72= 51,840.00
C- 35,000.00 driveout

A-C=8,200.00
8,200.00/60=136.66
720/136.66=5.29% --I think--

Is that equation correct? If not then what is the percentage?

google search "payment calculator" and you will find several you can edit with interest rates and duration.

Thats a horrible intrest rate. We just got our 08 TB w/the 3SS 2wd package for 1.9% financing for 36 mo through GMAC.

IIRC it was a little over 5% APR for a 60 mo loan.

That is why I didnt pick it up. I am still getting my credit back up to where it should be. I just need to be a little more patient about it.

I could afford the note, just wasn't going to pay that much for it. As soon as I would have signed for it, my ex would have taken me back to court and gotten more for child support to stick up her nose.

Yea, I feel you there!

On a side note:

Unless your incomes changes MORE than 10%, they can't adjust child support! No matter what from what my lawyer told me when I adjusted my child support DOWN (because i took a 50% paycut coming out of the military).

Oh you don't understand. She asked for a certain dollar amount 4 years ago. When the state comes back and sees what I really make or if she asks to have it adjusted, I am totally screwed!!

If I were to go off of that, 4 years ago I made about 24k yearly. I make more than double that now.

I am debating on either that or a 4 wheeler. It is so hard to choose between the two of them for me.

You'd never ever use a 4-wheeler.

Look around. The first chevy dealership we looked at tried to shaft us. They were quoting it about $4k higher plus wouldn't let us use any incentives or our GM points from our GM card and get the decent APR. The next one gave us a decent deal, gave us the incentives, the low interest rate, and we used the GM points.

Out of curiosity what color TBSS were you looking at? I realy wanted the granite black but there were only 2 w/in 500 miles. One (in Chickasaw, OK) was AWD and the other (in Sugarland) had navigation and we didn't want either option.

Think so? I have been riding 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Even watched Layne flip a 50cc on his head. Thank God he was wearing proper gear and it didn't leave a scratch.

I think I would get more use out of those than jet skis. How many of us go out regularly on the water?

Good decision. Thats a high rate on a new car and that drive out/payment combo is just going to keep you upside down if you were to trade. Best just to tough it out for now.
