Hey guys i live in waxahachie where is a reasonable/reliable place to get a tune? I had a shop install a cats on a diff car in red oak and they did some ugly looking weld work...just trying to find a good shop

No one local but there are alot of shops within 50 miles or so just depending on what you want.

That is not the easiest question. I am happy with my tune. I could tell you who did it. Kerry (2000nbz) is happy with his. Someone else tuned it. TXHOTBOI doesnt have a tune, but will soon by the same guy who tuned Kerrys. TXVortec, I think he got a basic tune from a friend. All were tuned within 30 45min of hachie.


Oh yeah and screw scarbrough fair. Nasty place.

I paid $450 to a local shop for a dyno tune my 97 T/A (383 LT1, A4, stall, etc) and only made 38x RWHP/35x RWTQ and the HP/TQ curves looked kinda funny and had alot of dips in them.

I then got a mail order tune from PCMforless.com and it made 413 RWHP/407 RWTQ. Only change was the tune.

Bryan from PCMforless.com came down here for a dyno day a few months later and dyno tuned my car and got 434 RWHP/442 RWTQ from it (actually made 471 RWTQ when converter locked up but that was just a spike).

I HIGHLY recommend him for an LT1 tune especially to get you real close and then you can tweak that tune if you ahve TunerCATS or LT1edit.

I am not sure how well he is on LS1 tunes.
