As for the Cowboys... I suppose they played a hard game, NY just wanted it more. As for Romo... 2 years in a row it has come down to him and he has failed (no rookie mistake last year, as the back up QB you are the holder in the FG unit). You could make an argument about rookie mistakes this year, but quite honestly was anyone talking about all these mistakes before December? No. Thats because Romo was the "real deal," unstoppable some said on here. What happened last night? I dont think it was Mexico, I think it was the entire team saying "We whooped these guys twice this season already... we got this ****." Now, like the Mavericks, they can go undefeated until the playoffs next year and it wont mean a damn thing.

Just like I don't think it's right for the neg posters in this thread to lump all the Cowboy fans together with the ones that start trouble in the Texan fan's threads...People who want to actually have a discussion about football and the Cowboy game can't even do so because of all the numerous negative posts that are virtually being spammed into this thread.

You would think that Texan fans would have actually been rooting for the Cowboys considering that they were the only team from Texas in the playoffs.I know if the shoe were on the other foot I would be the first guy shouting bring it home Texans!If it were between the two,I would be pulling for the Cowboys pretty much because they are the team that I have followed since I was a kid.Not because I have anything against the Texans.

I use to hate the old Oilers vs Cowboys games because i liked both teams and didn't want to see either loose...

There is clearly a thread started soley for the purpose of bashing the Cowboys.This thread was obviously started (correct me if I'm wrong) for "Pro Cowboy" fans..Why can't we keep them seperate and the same consoderation be made for the Texans fans??

I've always been one to have a reasonable conversation with anyone about football or subjects that have differing points of view.I'm not someone who puts blinders on (not implying or pointing fingers)and just jumps on other people's mistakes and doesn't admit my own.

With the Cowboys this year NOBODY can deny that they have had a great season or that Barber is a TOP caliber running back.Nobody can deny that Witten is probably one of the best TE's in the game.Crayton,Glenn,Austin,Hurd,J.Jones,Ware,Canty, Fasano..etc...The team has talent.

BUT!I will be the first to admit the weakness' of the team.Such as Romo's obvious problem of getting distracted and/or frustrated at the WORST times.

I don't like Jerry Jone's...well shoot...too many reasons.

I think there is a SEVERE problem with TO and his Hollywood theatrics that distract from the task at hand.Although he has been a bit better about that as of late (until the tear filled post game interview ).

Maybe he should take a note out of Witten's book and just get the job done.

I know the mods have alot on thier plate already in keeping things in check but,I don't think it would be terribly difficult to just keep the Pro and Anti Cowboys threads seperate...

Maybe the mods wouldn't have to do anything if we would all agree to disagree?Maybe just keep the comments civil?I mean come on...what are we "The Other" website with a bigger/better database?I know we are better than that.

Personally I think this thread and the other thread should just be locked and trashed.Maybe a new one started which is an NFL discussion thread and flaming is strictly prohibited?Or just ban NFL threads entirely?I guess thats why there is SSU??

Hey man, I am with you. No reason ADULTS cant have a civilized conversation. I cant, however, side with you on the "Its the only team from Texas in the playoffs, so root for them." Its nothing personal, but being from Houston, I was a born and bread Oilers fan and equally a Cowboys hater. Thats not to say that they dont have a good team, as they do except for a couple people. I was just brought up to bleed "Luv ya Blue" and thats it.

 

Very well said MJK. Funny how 95% of Cowboys fans will root for the Texans if they're not playing the Cowboys, but most, if not all Texans fans hate the Cowboys. I guess the Cowboys being so successful over their history breeds dislike/jealously combined with the Oilers/Texans futility and frustration of having never gone to a Super Bowl?

Well the reasons as to why there is a fued will probably vary from person to person and I guess because of that,we will never really know the answer as to why there is a problem between the two camps.Unfortunately.

Not really,almost everything you said was just anti-Cowboys/Pro Giants while I didn't really read anything good in your post about the Eagles.But it is a good rivalry.As is The Redskins vs Cowboys....Tradition.

I haven't followed the Eagles much (even though they are divisional rivals)since waaaaay back when Jaworski was the QB.Sorry.

Thats a very arrogant thing to say, and one of the things that fuels the fire in threads like this. I suppose this is the exact reason that the Aggies hate UT? Lets not forget that in the history of the Houston Texans a)the Texans have a winning record against the Cowboys (3-2) and b) the Cowboys have not won a playoff game, let alone a Super Bowl. So at this time, the Cowboys have experienced the same end that the Texans have year for year....no ring and saying "WTF are we going to do next year?"
