moved battery-hard starting
moved battery-hard starting recently i moved the battery to the back of the car to make room for the secondary fuel system. i used 2 gauge wire for the positve and 4 gauge wire for the ground. i grounded the block and the frame. also the starter has 4 gauge wire directly from the 2 gauge and the alternator and assesary panel run through 60 amp fuses. the battery is fully charged and i have tried more than one battery but the car has a very hard time starting. i was wondering do i need to remove the fuses and tie the wires directly toghether. the only reason i used fuses is because i used a distribution block and it needed fuses. what do you guys think would solve my starting issues. rember the starter wire runs through no fuses. it is tied into the main wire coming from the battery. also this is on a 98 TA.
your ground cable should be the same size as your power cable. I always runs 1/0 gauge wire to the front. It sounds like you need bigger power cable, or you have a bad ground. If you are in houston swing it by the shop and I can take a look at it.

no the car is back on Dallas so the only time i have to work on it is the weekend when i go home. do you think the fuses have anything to do with it. they are only running to the assesory panel and the alternator?
