I need to title one of my cars and have been dragging my feet on it. I currently live in Harris county but we just bought a house in Galveston county. Is there a difference where I title it? Is it cheaper to title it in Glaveston? Anyone know any advantages or disadvantages?

Thanks

Lauren

I really doubt it matters. Just go get it done and quite being lazy! Im sure if there is a price difference, its very minimal at best.

Well my main concern is if there is any differences in inspections, if its titled in harris it has to follow harris inspections. Are inspections any more leniant in galveston county?

Just FYI, they changed the law, starting Jan 2 2008, you have 20 business days to register the title, and then it's a $25 penalty if you're late. For every 30 day period thereafter, it's another $25 penalty. Better get a move on.
