Yeah he can but since I haven't tuned with him before, I'm looking at $500 when I only pay $100 @ my place for a retune. I just want to do a quick tune so I can drive my car for the next 2 weeks till I get it to mti

Then you need to call MTI and see if they can do something for you. Why would anyone want to do something for free when they spent a lot of money for the unlimited version of EDIT or HP tuners. If you find an individual who can do it, it is going to cost you money also a licence on my hp tuners is $100 by itself let alone the time to do it etc... Not trying to be an *** or anything, but it seems like you are asking for someone to do something for nothing. Maybe I am misunderstanding you. Explain??

Who said anything about free? I would certainly be willing to pay someone for a tune. Driveability sux the way it is now and I have an appt with MTI in 2 weeks. I was just looking for a quick tune in the area so I don't have to wait

And yeah, I'll get a better, more comprehensive tune @ MTI, but again, I thought maybe if the price was right a quick tune might be worth the $

Well then maybe you should think about this if MTI is doing a retune and someone else touches it they won't honor there lifetime tune. Just a heads up. So get ready for another $500 or 650 with a WB. Now you can see where I am coming from, cause it wouldn't be a quick tune at all it would be the tune. So IMO. You should just call MTI and talk to David explain the drivability issues and see if he can possibly fit you in at an earlier date possibley early or right be for they close etc... GL!

I thought if MtI tunes your vehicle they lock you computer so nobody else can see how they tuned your car?? If they do then you might as well wait, because you have to pay them to unlock your computer then take it somewhere to get it tuned. The reason why i know this is because i was considering mti tune my car and they told me 500 dollars for the first tune,re-tune 175 and we lock your computer. So i was like screw that.

We don't lock any PCM's - period. PM me and let me know what you've changed - might be able to squeeze you in later today or tomorrow morning.

Regards,

David
