New parts So my car had been running like *** for awhile now and I one thing went after another. The water pump went out so I replaced it, then the heads were taking in coolant. I am running LTs, ORY, dumped. No cats or mufflers. I decided I needed to get inspected since my tag is a year over due. I took off my intake to inspect it for any faults. The intake checked out fine. Then I took off the heads. Inside the intake runner of #5 was a nice pinhole where someone ported a bit too much.
I went ahead and ordered a new set of PRC 2.5s... and an MS3... and some TSP true duals with spiral flows. I can't wait to have a car again. Here is the thing. I know inspection shops want the pipes to go past the axle. I will have cats on the car when I get it inspected. NOT when I tune it.
The car will be fine except for the exhaust being dumped at the axle. Any shops around DFW that will let that slide? I don't want to weld pipe past the axle just to cut it off after I get it inspected...
ALSO: I have Miller Lite if anyone wants to help put the H/C/E on.
