Yes it certainly does. The day I got my car apparently whoever vandalized it thought it was still the previous owner's...
Broke out all the glass, cut the seats, kicked the gear shifter assembly and destroyed it. Keyed the whole car very very deep, keyed the wheels, roof. Busted head and tail lights, etc etc. Destroyed the car, I only had it in my name for a day, happened in our shop parking lot on surveilence camera, couldn't really see the person very well, it was pretty dark in that corner of the lot, but it was a woman...
I repoed it from a customer, well my dad did, so I got a Z28 in pretty damn good shape for $120. Luckily I got insurance that same day, it totally saved me, and put me in a practically brand new car.
