does anyone know if 5 point harnesess are ok to run on the street or will i get nailed by the cops. Just wondering cause i dont want to give them me another reason to pull me over

pretty sure it's legal but don't quote me on it.. i knew a guy back in the day with a red viper with momo seats and a 5 pt..

i dont believe tthey are. they probably need to be dot approved to be legal.

i have a friend who got a ticket for wearing just a 5 pt. you need to keep you stock seatbelts that are DOT approved

Been pulled over on slicks and runners wearin a 5Pt with a full cage in my street car...


Never once mentioned the seatbelts. LOL the two bottles where the passenger seat used to be kinda scared him a bit i belive.

my simpson 5point in my 99 was dot approved. It got alot of ocifers attention but they never asked me about it.
