Difference between 99 and 2000 ls1 engines?
I have a 98 firebird (formally a v6) with a 99or00 ls1 in it. I know this because of the stock injectors are 26 pounders. How can I find out if its a 99 or a 2000?
I do have full exhaust, cam, (853 stock heads) ls6 intake, blah blah. So I dont know what else I can look for that will tell me what year it is. Any advice? Thanks, Auto.

The casting numbers on your heads will tell you if it's a 99' or 00'..Yours is a 99 b/c you have 853 heads like mine and although you might not like them they are way better than the shitty 98' heads which were mostly 806's and flowed like my uncles toilet after thanksgiving dinner...not so well lol
