Default Anyone use Energy Suspension trany mount?

I bought one from the WS6 store, part number 3-1108/ 3-1132. Well the mechanic installed the mount but now there is a weird vibration coming from the under carriage. I took it back to the mechanic and he says he thinks the mount is too thick. He says its lifting up the trany and is causing the drive shaft to vibrate. Has this happened to anyone with this mount? Is it safe to drive the car?

All poly mounts transfer vibes. This is why Ive had customers want the stock one replaced after they installed a poly mount.

Will it calm down after a while? Is it safe to drive the car?

The vibrations start once the car gets above 2k rpm. I called energy suspension and they said it could set off the knock sensor too.

Is the rounded part of the trannymount facing the rear of the car. One side of the mount is flat and the other is kindof rounded it should be facing the back or the rear of the car just something to check out.

yeah, sounds pretty normal to me... they are all noisy, stock one is the way to go if it's daily driven.

There was a recent thread about this is the General Automotive Discussion forum and ALL tranny mounts create a little more vibration but honestly, you'll get used to it and you won't even notice it anymore.

I have that exact same mount in my car and it's great. It vibrates a tiny bit more but big deal

Its not just a vibration, it actually makes noise, and the noise gets worse as the rpms get high.

Oh and yes the rounded side is facing the rear of the car.

The thing is that i had a poly mount before on the car but it looked different than this Energy mount. But it didnt give me any problems.

I'm just afraid the vibration is gonna **** something up/

i actually just purchased a poly mount and the same thing happened to me, i installed it about 2 weeks ago and it kind of went away, but when i go 80mph+ it vibrates and its kind of annoying.
i already purchased the stock mount and im going to replace it, i just dont like how it sounds.

good luck

there is on ongoing debate on whether or not to grind down the bumps on the top as well. I just got a ES mount and am trying to decide if I should grind them down. I am def not using the plate though.

You can also put a thin piece of rubber between the tranny and the mount and it will help ALOT.

mine did the EXACT same thing , dont use the plate and grind down the humps and it all goes away !!!!!! i broke mine and went throughta pro-thane and energy mount b4 i figured this out, it puts the driveshaft in a bind and causes crazy vibrations. It does not go away after a day or two like everyone says.
