Default Anybody want some Vettes??

I was told by our Vette guy at the dealership they want to get rid of ALL of our Vettes (Z06's too) so we can get some Zr1's in. Regular Vettes are going for $400 above Invoice and Z06's are gonna go for $500 above Invoice. Call my Bud Ty Vickers at 817-692-1742 and tell them Darren recommend ya. This is a no BS deal, they did this offer back when the C6's were coming out and the blew out all the C5's to get as many C6's as possible. If you wonder what we have instock just post up, I know we have 3 Z06's, a Red one, Blue one and a black one with the LT4 package.

I think the reason you might have too many sitting on the lot is because you are selling them above invoice. Dealers that want to sell them sell them for invoice minus holdback, which is basically invoice minus 3% of MSRP.

I bought my new C6 at Huffines Chevy in Plano for invoice minus holdback, and that was when they were still a hot item.

There are dealers on Corvetteforum selling them for less than invoice now. Z06's are not rare anymore, there are 100s of them sitting on dealer lots right now. Even 2007s

Unfortunatly dealers have to turn a profit, I am sure you can understand. if dealers gave them away we would be in a economic crisis....we will take our chances. This is still a good deal and you dont have to spend hours looking for a dealer or haggling with them to sell them below invoice, but thank you

I would rather be wise with my money and shop around and find them below invoice, but maybe that's just me...and Nineball!

well I hope anything you sell from now on you dont make one red cent on cause that would be wrong of you to do so with a statement like that

Dealers still make money when they sell below invoice. I used to work at a local Chevy dealer. They still get paid.

salesmen still get paid like a mini of $100 even if a deal is the red. This deal would be a mini for the salesmen. Car dealers have to pay for interest, floorplan, and the cost keep the dealership running like employees. Is your job giving stuff away?

Correct. I was speaking in a broad term. On average dealerships lose money on new vehicles and make very small profit on used. I know how much it costs dealerships to keep their doors open and I know they depend heavily on F&I to bring in money.

dealerships rely mostly on parts and service, F&I makes some profit but its not the majority. New cars usually loses money, it takes used cars to make it usually. I report the deals to GM so I see all the deals, these days 80% of the time the new car salesmen is a making the mini of $100 on all the new car deals I see. GM gives out huge rebates and people like above dont wanna pay for anything more, we even have GM employees coming in wanting to haggle the GMS price which by GM we cannot not do and we don't. Alot of what we sell is either at or below invoice. Dealers are very competitive and people shop around alot and we basicly give stuff away.
