Default Cops Inside!!!

I was thinking of applying for the police force but was wondering if anyone had any insight on what it would be like to be on the force and go to school 19hrs a week?

http://forums.officer.com/

or some of the other results:

You will likely get a lot more responses over there since we are mostly gear heads with a few L.E.O.s in our midst.

More than likely you will not be able to go to school that much....Once you are on the force you will have other things to worry about like keeping yourself safe and learning all you have to learn...There is tons of book knowledge and street knowledge you will have to either have or aquire to be an officer. My advise to you is if you really wanna be a cop to do and and focus on that for atleast 3-4 years then go back to school

Going to school isn't to bad. Just don't get caught up working extra jobs all the time and you could do it. I go to school full time, but 19 hours would be tuff.

thinking of going with Fort Worth, they only require like 30 hours or something I'm going to school for nursing. My 19 hrs also include clinical hours.

A buddy of mine used to work for Arlington and I believe he said they were one of the higher paying depts. You might see if they have reqs open for officers.
