dont forget the lakers were without the second highest scorer , the rockets looked good but im a la fan so yeah you know i had to jump in and say it LA is still better. But i do give houston credit it showed a lot that they still won even though tracy mcgrady didnt score very much that was a team win for sure
I knew somebody would bring this up. Lets see, the Lakers have the best player in the game(Kobe) and their 2nd option is(Gasol) oh wait he was out, so the Laker's only had one real threat today(and look what the Rockets did to him). Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't a Basketball game played 5 on 5? Just checking that would be a team. So if the Lakers have the best player in the game(Kobe) and if Gasol did play, then that would make them 2 legite scoring threats. Now look at the Rockets, even though TMac didn't do squat, "the team" made up for it and that is what the Rockets are a complete team of starters and bench players. I don't know about you, but I would take my 5 starters(without Yao) and put them up against the Lakers 2 legite starters any day of the week. Its a "Team" effort, not a 2 man show.

people keep saying tmac or yao this and that, those are the two names you hear less and less of. id take a team with a who set of decent and consistant players over a team with one or two "superstars" anyday

It seems to me that Assassin66 is the one having a hard time accepting the best team in the West right now! Plus you probably only know of the Lakers old streak cause someone told you about it and anyways we are not in the 70's no more. Bynum is overrated and will make you all scrub when he gets back. Who was LA before they went out and got Gasol? Kobe is a ball hogger. Why doesnt he learn from McGrady? If you cant make your shots create dont take more shots. What was he 11-33 thats a good fg%! We shouldnt even be arguing with you all LA fans, why, its a waist of time! We beat N.O. pretty bad twice and you all couldnt even beat them. So read your stats first and accept whats going on. Im a Rockets fan and if another team would be doing this I would give props and accept it. Now if your just a **** rider and wanna ride your teams ***** then its all good, but if you dont know stat wise and what makes the game of basketball then hush your jaw! Fucken cry babies!

Did you not read mine? You state we had a team win, but had to throw in LA didn't have Gasol. We didn't have Yao or Landry and I will say it again this game was a 5 on 2 game, the Rockets shut the best player in the game down(Kobe) which I agree and his supporting cast had no idea what to do with each member of the Rockets. I think its great when 50 yr old Mt. Mutumbo strikes fear in the eyes of all these youngsters, not only on the Lakers, but the whole league. Oh, and as Deerhunter said "If they were the best team they wouldn't be in 2nd place". They might be the best team, they might not be, but as of right now the Rockets are on top with another tough test in the Celtics coming up.

Dude, that was Wilt Chamberlain's Lakers almost 40 years ago, not stupid Kobe Bryant's.
it was "TEAM EFFORT" on the part of the rockets to get that win. rafer was just on fire from 3 pt. i think kobe settled for too many jump shots. i think he should have drove in the paint alot more. oh well, hats off the rockets.. the best team in the west!!!
