That time of year again....need friendly inspector. I really need some help finding a friendly inspector for my Mom and Step Dad's cars. They have 2 cars with Check Engine lights on and both need stickers and they don't have the money to fix them.
I will be more than happy to hook someone up $$$, for hooking me up, to hook them up...........I flippin' confused..!

They both have the POS mod. My step dad is a bit of a dumbass when it comes to cars. He is the guy that will jump in the car, start her up, give her 2 or 3 5K RPM runs and drive off.....he thinks that is the best way to warm up a car.
His work van: Rotors are warped, blinkers don't work, check engine light is on, and some other things but I wasn't really listening.
His car: check engine light is on and it smokes pretty good (I wonder why?).
These cars don't look bad but he destroys engines right and left....he doesn't quit understand how it all works.

Why don't u just take the car to autozone or advance auto and have them pull the codes to see what's wrong first. Could just be a bad spark plug or something cheap. Better to find out first what the problem is before you start sticking your neck out as the fines for inspectors that pass vehicles like that is very very stiff (loose license, heavy $ fines, etc).
