Default Vette pricing question

Just wondering if this is a good/fair price for a Vette I found yesterday..

Listed as a 2001 but I think It's an 2002
Corvette Coupe...Sliver EXT. Black Leather INT.
6spd
PWR everything
HUD display
12 disc changer
20kmiles
Price: 28,500 is the lowest they will go, car is Imaculate without any scratches or dings, Interior looks showroom new as does the whole car..but they guy at the car lot was a lil miss-informed about the specs, tried to pass it off as having an LT2,(yes he actually said LT2) and was thinking it had a 5spd in it, I was nice enough to let it slip and not correct the guy and seem like a dick..only thing it didn't have was both removable tops....whatcha guys think on the asking price...he came down from 29,900 to the now askin 28,500 saying he wanted it gone to buy some .50cal gun

You can pick up a low-mid (20k-50k) mile 02 z06 for that. I see them sell at $26-28k all day long on corvette forum.

Just a suggestion.

Yeah way too high. If you really want both tops I have a glass top from my old one.

Too much money for a non-Z06. I wouldn't pay more than $22K for that car.

Low miles is not always a good thing. The vette has some issues that come around over time. Mine has over 150k on it and pretty much had very few issues.
I paid 21k out the door in 04 for a 1999 mn6 coupe with 58k on it.

Hahaha I love it when people say this. Really? Think this is the only way to go? We have to have the targa and people always say oh you just got the coupe not the Z06? Me: Yeah too bad huh?

When buying a C5 I would rather save the cash and have a non Z06 and put the extra money in mods. Now if it were a C6 thats a different story.

If I wanted to have no tops on I grab my other car keys and grab my TT WS6. If I dont want to drive a GM product I grab the keys to my 04 cobra. Either way I look at it I win. And its the internet smartguy everyone has there .02 Also I dont like the hatch on the regular C5.

truth is that the z's/frc's are a superior car to a coupe. dont think anyone can argue with that.
he's just saying that theres some great prices on z's out there, so if you had the option to only pay 5k more and go from a coupe to a z, then.....yes.....that is the only way to go.
