Looking for an LT1... I have a friend of mine that bought a used 96 Camaro Z28, well the bottom end is totally toast and the seller is no where to be found. Turned out to be a really shady deal in the end, but thats all his fault...
The heads are in good shape, all accessories, he just needs a short block.
Looking for something fairly local.

The guy doesn't have a lot of money to be messing with this car. He got screwed after he spent his money on the car. Now he is stuck with a decent car with no motor.
I'll probably be helping him search salvage yards this weekend.

oh it is just the block. u can get a scat crank for like 163 and rods for 250 or so and pistons for 200 as well. get a stock rebuild/gasket set. 350 and ur golden. thats what i would do. i understand that money is the factor so it might not be the best route. just putting that out there for you.

He's trying to compete with me. And wound up with a peice of trash in the process...
He had a 2000 V6 Firebird, actually a decent car, I've fixed a lot of small problems with it and it was a nice little car. Then he found out I could completely wax his ***, so he got sad and found a 96 Z28, OMG V8 SPLOOOOGE, and got that pos. Traded straight up. Dumbass.
I don't feel bad for him, he should have listened to me.
I need to go look at it and make sure its not something simple, although he said its clicking or tapping real bad and there is metal flake in the oil...
