apt renters please come in what should i do about an apartment complex complaining that my car is to loud when i leave in the mornings? we havent had any complaints but she heard it when i left the office and she said i sped off so what should i do
If it was when you were "speeding off" then just ease out until you get further away...this would be the easiest solution and keep everyone happy...but like Cam said...unless other tenants were complaining or the law gets involved...I'm not too sure how much they can legally do. re-read you contract....contracts are binding both ways, if she trys to evict you, there is a process that should be lined out in the contract, make damn sure what the contract says.
When I lived in a dorm and my neighbors would complain about us being loud, I went out and bought them ear plugs. They never bitched again cause they realized we didn't give a ****.

I got that from my neighborhood alot...people bitching about me speeding thru when in fact I was doing 20mph on a 30mph posted street....after the 2nd time of a lady walking out in front of me and me telling her get the **** out the road and this isnt a playground that she has a yard for a reason....they left me alone...

Just leave the apartment and get on it really hard and say "thats what it sounds like when I actually do get on it".
Really they cant do anything, unless it really late at night or something I dont think they can say ****. I only crank my car up during the day but at night I dont rev it or anything. Because that would be considered disturbing the peace.

She cannot evict you, just do like I did. I told my old apts. "Yes, the car is going to be loud so if you do not like it move to the other side of the complex". Most people thought it was badass. Now I have a house and the "info. kid" down the street said, "My mom said when your car was on it shook the walls of the house and pictures fell off the wall." We like "info. kid".

i live in a house, but I'm gonna tell my story anyway.
I started to modify the Z back in Oct '06. I asked the neighbors if it was to loud. I just dropped hints. 4 of the 5 neighbors that I talked to LOVE the sound of my car. Funny actually, the gearhead next door says he LIKES it when I floor it past his house!!!

No need to be an ******* about anything, I wouldn't do anything until more complaints came or they stated something needs to be done. As for around the office, I might take it easy in that area.
