Default How long do your drag raidlas last?

I have around 200-250 miles on my brand new BFGs. BALD!! No burnouts. Just running around town getting on it. Spins a little through second but nothing too crazy. Drivers side is completely bald but passenger side has just a tiny bit left. My nitttos lasted ALOT longer than this. Its looks like the rubber from the tire is just balling up and coming off.

I am truly baffled. This isnt even a 400hp car. Spins right through them in first and if i hit second hard enough it will spin through second. Figured some 315's would hook better than this.

My Nitto Drags lasted me about a year. About 10k miles. Thats more than what I expected out of them, so I guess it wasn't too bad.

my nitto's have around 10,000 miles on them now, and still have 6 thousands tread depth....

250 miles something is seriously wrong.

You said no burnouts, but then you say it spins right through first and second...

My Nittos just hit the wearbar after 6 months or so, a handful of street burnouts on em', probably about 6,000-8,000 miles.

Had mine 10 months now. 40 miles round trip daily driven on mine. Up to 8 months they road like a daily driver tire with some serious **** and Git...no more 80's mullit squilly burnouts, just GO! Not even bad weather had me worried. You would have to be one crazy **** to attempt a street burnout with them brand new. Consider your rear end turning to laffy taffy if so. Anyhow after about 8 months of nominal (no stupid ****) use they started to lose their seat of pants comfort zone and literally become ice skates when I hit deep water puddles doing anything over 60mph. My fronts are the NT 555 (non Drag Radial). They are amazing as well! Other than that on a nice clear 70*+ day they still hook like a 'sumbitch. Can't wait to replace them with new ones when the time comes. BEST FOR THE $'s IMO.

That is strange. I am just short of 400rwhp and I would actually have to try to spin them to get my BFG DRs to spin through 1st. I don't think there is any way I could spin them through 2nd. I have several hundred miles and about 20 passes on them and they look fine.

my Nittos in the past have lasted about 10k miles.

The 315 Nittos on my car right now have plenty of tread left, and with 450rwhp I don't spin in first most of the time. IRS forthewin occasionally.

i usually get around 7 to 10k out of my m/t radials.
sounds to me like a tire defect or over inflated

i run mine on the street at 24psi and on the track at 16psi

Ive had both BFG and Nittos. With a 3.90 gear and 540 RWHP I can barely spin my tires in second gear.. And both sets have lasted over a year!

Mine lasted over 15,000 miles. the nittos would spin with no real effort, but I have 4.10s. If you got no advantage, and they burned off that quick you may want to just have normal tires.

you are driving in them too fast (70mph +) and not enough air or too much air. I would aim for 25-27psi in em and let em cool, basically heat cycle the tires. Getting them too hot will keep em soft. Mine got hard and lasted a good while.

interesting theory

I run my 315s at 24psi cold. If I'm on the freeway I'm going b/t 70-100. Mine get soft and warm quickly from just driving around and I haven't had any uneven wear.

A lot of people run too much psi and they wear in the center too quickly which sucks.

Hard drag radials would be no fun.
