Why can't you sell it? Private party is higher than trade in

there is no legal way to get out of it without being upside down or ruining your credit. Like kornfreak said, consider it an expensive lesson. We all make the same mistakes sometimes.

Have one of your family members take over the payments.

Not exactly addressing your concerns here, but do you have GAP insurance ? On the off chance that you did get in an accident or if it got stolen, you would be stuck owing the lender whatever the amount you are upside down.

The Autotrader was mentioned above. Also cars.com would be another good option as they have a run till sold.

You could take out a side note for the unpaid balance and still keep your good credit history.

Its not worth 25k. With rebates you can almost get a new one for that (+TTL). And thats still sticker, nothing negotiated off the price. Sounds like you paid sticker- rebates, rolled in some negative equity, and financed your TTL.

Best advice is to keep paying it. And try to pay down the principle as much as possible.

and yes with the rebates and discounting they give, the truck will come out to $27k new, the used sugg. retail on the 2007 is 26k,and the trade in on excellent condition is 20k, so mine being 2008 should be right around 2-3k more in trade in value.

Just pull off the highway into tall grass.....

I am just kidding, I would never do anything like that.

I knew a guy that did and got caught, it was not a very pretty scene...

I'm sure you learned a lesson now. Imo its best to put enough money down on the vehicle so when you roll off the lot you are not upside down.

If you can't do this, you can't afford the vehicle.
