I work at Methodist in the Operating room, only saw him once. He is very well known for pioneering many things in cardiology, not boobies!

RIP, he did my heart surgery in 1984. Was one of the first of my kind. Glad I had such a great surgeon. He will be missed.

Was described as the best surgeon.....ever. Lived to be 99 years old and practiced well into his 90's. Amazing story.

Nice writeup in the Sunday Chronicle on his career and the innovations that he came up with. He did my father's open heart surgery around 13 years ago !

Wow, there's a name I havn't heard in a while. I never met Dr. DeBakey that I can remember. I did know Dr. George Morris his side of the family. DeBakey along with the rest of these great surgeons wrote "the book" on cardiovascular surgery. We all owe alot to these men.

^^^^^And rightfully so

..that place pisses me off...but that's an entirely different subject, and has nothing to do with him.
