It was meant as a joke...
But yes it all depends on how it was built. I've seen 396's in the 10's and I've seen them in the high 13's.

high 14s is probly a better estimate for a beefed up boat anchor.

just kidding. without dyno numbers it's hard. if built right though i can probably guess a 11 somewhere?

Hard to say with out knowing more about the motor, there usually all over the place as said, set up right you could have a solid 10 second car all motor but I have seen some turds out there that run 12s because either its set up wrong or the cars built like junk.

Not as fast as a 408 LSx. The thing is, the aftermarket for those things in the head department is lacking but AFR does make some. I just hate the LTx, itis a pita.

Making almost 500 to the back tires all motor with LT4 Heads and a Nick K special white intake manifold.

I think I read that in every single post you make pertaining to LT1s. If your building a 396 and have the coin, it isnt that hard or really all that expensive to go to just about any 23* Gen I head out there. Lot of people have converted 23* Darts, Pro Action and a host of other Gen I Heads, including 18 Degree and two I know of using SB2.2. Far as it isnt not making as much power a 408 LSX, kinda a broad statement to make, just depends on the combination of parts. To make mid 500s to the back whels, it requires a fairly agressive set up, but saying it doesnt make the same power as a 408 LSx, well thars Kinda like saying all third gens are primered turds

Then why the hell not just use a GEN I block all together if you are going to use the heads? The LTx is in the middle, go GEN I or GEN III. Thats just me.

And all third gens that are turds bitch.
