Help with transmission!!
Help with transmission!! My transmission is starting to give out does anyone know where i can buy one used or new for a good price. And where to install thats not too bad priced. The car will run up to twenty mph and thats it.After 20 Rpms just go up without picking up speed. Its an auto but would it be to much trouble to swap for a 6 speed??? Any info helps....

Average price for a cheap price to put in a transmission would be around the $300 range (or if you have a friend he could probaboy do it cheaper.) There have been some pop-ups of used tranny's here for around $450 +/-. It's like fishing, you have to wait for the right wave. Salvage yards will always have autos. Try looking down North Shepard.
Circle D is a good shop too. Get yourself one of their converters while your there!

If your looking to just replace it with a stock one get the one from 1sickz28. Hes a good guy to deal with. i bought his circle d converter and it works great except for its killing my tires

not alot of trouble really, just have to switch everything that 6 speed needs over to your car. as in clutches, boosters, ect. if that's what you end up doing get in touch with Inspector, he was going to help me with mine.
check my posting history, would be about 6 months ago i posted about it. got a lot of people chiming in. also had a guy give me a call from a shop in dallas i believe, said he had all the parts needed or could get them. i don't think it was going to cost to much if i remember correctly.
