You really need to know someone, most of the big places are like that. I was talking to a guy that was in training today and he tried for 12 years before he was hired.

As did I, was a master tech before I got into aerospace. Mechanical exp. really does help if you have something to put on your resume. The worst part is the low pay when you start out, they try to get you in lowwwwwwwwww.
