No you can't keep your stock springs. Yes you can keep your rockers. You should change your push rods while you are at it also.

My advice on getting a cam is to do you own research. You know best about what you want from your car and what you are willing to live with. Get an idea of what size cam you want and then go from there.

Also do all of your supporting mods before camming the car.

Try searching the internal engine section. 0 posts, get out of here troll. j/k.
You can keep your stock rockers, but not the springs, and i would reccomend replacing the pushrods. Also you should consider future plans for the engine, like if you will stay n/a or go boost or juice, as there are cams designed for each. What kind of driveability are you looking for, and since you have an auto, most cams are going to require a stall.

We work together. I am the one that convinced him to sell his "13 second hatch", and get a car with the engine created by god himself.

Go big or go home. Get the biggest cam posible, jk. Like the above posts you need to figure out what you want. If its a daily driver then I would stay small, the 224 from thunder is a good cam. If you drive it regular but want it to make more power then the torquer 2, or the sp 233/239 is good. Max efffort cams looking to get peak hp numbers, then TREX that biatch. I went with it because my car gets driven maybe 1500 miles a year. Do some research, call thunder racing and tell them what you have and want and they can for sure help you out. Josh

all depends on your mods. i got a 228 228/ 639 640 on 116 and it runs GREAT. auto also, built and stalled... if you go any bigger you will want a big stall (3K 3500) but you don't want a donky dick unless you got somthing serious going on.

Just because it is advertised as a 3000 "stall" doesn't mean it will work like that if your combination isn't right.
Get with who ever is doing your converter and talk cam specs with them. Where your cam makes it's power is going to effect how/where your converter flashes.

From the looks of things your taking it step by step which is good, but your looking at each part individually which is bad. Build you car as a whole. The combination of parts working together is greather then the individual parts added up. Buying all top parts means nothing if they don't compliment each other. Just look at the Olympic "Dream Team" when it had all the top NBA picks. They got beat by teams of unkowns that worked well together.
My advice is to slow down a reasearch the hell out of this before slapping a mix of good sounding parts together.

Thunder Racing's Reverse Split Cam is what I went to and has good mid-high end power. Dual springs are not necessary for a mild street car.
