Default Would this be worth getting for the price?

Right now, I just have stock manifolds. Would this be worth it if I get a good y-pipe? I do want to be emissions legal, too. What kind of gain would I see? - if any. lol.

My guess is 2-4% increase with a tune plus some better sound. Well worth it for that price if you are doing the install, especially as you do more mods. Not the ultimate exhaust but a good budget mod and shouldn't leaks/headaches either. I say go for it.

Hmm. So maybe 10rwhp? Would a mail-in PCM tune be a good idea?

no gain with shorties. Unless you consider leaks and extra noise a bonus.

Nah, mail order tunes are only good for major changes. Do a dyno or street tune or just wait. I like MACs, very good for the money and you gotta spend a ton more to get much better.

If you truly plan to keep the car, and really will mod it, save your coin for real headers - Kooks or ARH. If you have the mod bug, get these or a set of MACs, you will notice a small improvement, especially with a tune.

Keep that 2% in mind, it gets bigger as you add mods. Also, your better long tubes add percentages too, bigger ones, though it gets it gets more compex as you add mods and compare different brands and sizes of primaries.

Bottom line, if you are having fun and have the cash - do these. MACs WILL rust and leak, but they ****** make great power for cheap - been there done that. My advice if you keep the car, save up for proper headers.
