Default name that sound

ok so i got my bottom end rebuilt 3100 miles ago due to a spun bearing and got an oil change a week ago then started to notice a ticking sound.... WTF IS IT!

hard to tell from the clip... but it just sounds like really loud piston slap to me. did you change the type of oil you use? sometimes changing brands/weights of oil can causes noises to quiet or become more pronounced.

you really should have someone listen to it in person

oil was break in oil from the dealership i switched to Penzoil Synthetic 5w30

pull the valve covers, check the springs and rockers.

yep i switched to 10w30 an my slap went away. i only use mobile one too. i'd try a different oil you could pull valve covers and look at ur valvetrain and scratch ur head cuz it most likely isnt it. also how much oil did u put in it?

had my friend do the oil change at his work bought 6 quarts of oil 5.5 or so went in

also the dealership used 5w30 in it and i didnt notice the noise and if i did it was very light lately it sounds like its getting louder

Oilpump might have trash init and your not getting all u need so the valvetrians making noise

Sounds like lifters to me. Did they put new ones in when you got the new engine?

dealership did all the work but no they didnt they only rebuilt the bottom end
