Report mods to insurance???

Report mods to insurance??? anyone on here report their mods to insurance? if so what do you report? how does it affect coverage or premium or deductable?

I know with USAA that you dont have to report the actual mods to them but you need to keep the receipts from the mods and they will repay you 75% of the value of the mods. Anything is covered as long as you keep the receipts.
In other words, call your insurance and ask them. Only way to get a straight answer. Different companies have different coverages.

I sell insurance for Liberty Mutual and like the previous post says every company is different with coverages. I will tell you that there are limits to everything that you put on your car and in some cases you aren't going to be covered.
I would call whoever your agent is and add the customized equipment on there. I have a buddy with a custom truck and I added about $4k of coverage for wheels, system, paint, molding and it didn't increase his rate as much as you might thinkl. I'd say do it for piece of mind.
