Friendly shops in katy
Friendly shops in katy I'm looking for a "friendly" muffler shop in the katy area. I'm putting on my long tubes and want to fab up a custom exhaust similar to a loud mouth. I do not plan on running a cat. I know last time i did something like this it was next to impossible to find a shop that would touch a car w/o cats.
also looking for a reasonable priced transmission shop, transmission specialist on mason quoted me $1500 for a stock rebuild on my trans(lol), i can get it done across town for close to 600 but don't have time to pull it and go over there.
i'm planning on supplying hard parts but just need the work done since i don't have all the seal tools.

Don't waste your time in Katy. Your better off taking your car to LMR so it can be done right. They are the closest to us. (I'm in Katy too)
For a transmission I would check out one of the sponsors on this board. Ace, Performabuilt, and FLT are all good ones.

I live in katy as well, and LMR is not far at all, and will do the job the way you want it.
As far as transmission shops, Century builds all my autos. LMR just pulled the glide out for me, and ran it over to Century where Mike, Patrick, and Ronnie did a bad *** freshen up-upgrade for me. If you have a stick, they can shoot it around the corner to Six-speeds Inc. Can't beat that.
