Default Walbro Pump Install...suggestions/help?

Well, I am having some issues with my car starting and the alternator and battery were fine when checked a couple months ago. The alternator is original and the battery is about 6 months old.

I am going to tackle the 255 pump install on my 02 Z28 over the next couple weeks and am wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to do it? Also, if anyone felt like lending a hand we can work out something for dinner and/or beer. While I am fairly mechanically inclined as well as my buddies in the local car club, none of us have tackled a fuel pump on these cars yet.

I AM NOT CUTTING A PIECE OF METAL OUT OF MY CAR!

Thanks

-Karl

its not that difficult, have a friend help with the fuel tank and dont over tighten the hose clamp on the upper part of the module. dont forget to plug everything up.
I have to drop my cousins tank tomorrow cause i didnt tighten the clamp enough on there
Dont rush it, all u need is basic hand tools.
oh and use up as much fuel as possible cause that thing is heavy.

Jack rear of car up. Use jack stands. Unbolt and remove rear end. Unbolt and remove gas tank. Replace pump and be careful putting the pump and fuel pump assembly back in. Make sure you get that float back to where it was when you took it out. Or you will have a fucked gas gauge Happen to be, just been to lazy to fix it .

Should take prob 4-6 hours most.

I cut mine and you cant even see it since the carpet covers it. I actually made it into an access open/close hatch. Its the faster and easier way as well.. Just need a dremel tool.

WTF?! You DO NOT need to remove rear end, only panhard bar and upper crossbar for tank.

Its very easy, i did it in one hour yesterday. 30 min to remove, 30 min to reinstall. Of course, ive done it like 10 times on the same car in less than 1 month
