anyone work for a tool repair facility

anyone work for a tool repair facility long story short:
-bought a floor jack from sears, it failed after the warranty was up (blew a seal)
-my credit card has a 'double manufacturers warranty' benefit, but refuse to process unless i get a repair estimate
-sears states they cant be repaired, only replaced
-credit card company wont accept that as an answer, they want official documentation from a repair facility stating that it is non-repairable
-of course no one will accomodate me for this. they say 'i cant write up an estimate for a job i cant do'.
does anyone work for a tool repair facility that can write me up some sort of official estimate saying that my floor jack is unrepairable? i've been going back and forth with my credit card company for months, and have driven to the ends of the earth and back trying to collect all the documentation they need. its at the point where i've probably spent more in gas running around than the damn jack is worth!

Yep, I agree. Good luck. My Sears floor jack is 30 years old and going strong but I did recently buy one of those low profile racing jacks, so far so good.

Grab your ***** and ask for the BIG BOSS repair center manager. Tell him your sob story and how you want his specific place to do the work but need some form of documention for your credit card company to foot the bill. ASK FOR THE DECISION maker if he can't help you. Works everytime!
