To the OP:

I would've told them chicks "Show me your ******* for $20"

I always look at the person's shoes. Most of the time they'll be some new $150 sneakers.

The only time I have ever given someone more than change in my pocket is when I saw a guy at the corner of 146 and I-10 with a sign that said "Why lie, I need a Beer." I gave him $20 just for being honest.

I did the same thing once. Homeless guy came up to me and said "Yo man, I need a beer, ya got a few bucks?" I gave him $5, "thanks man". I watched him, he went, in bought a 40, started walking down the street, brown bag in hand.

Was in Portland last weekend. Lots of homeless on the streets. My sister and a few people were eating lunch on the patio of a restaurant. Shirtless guy walks up asks if we like poetry. I said "no get out of here", my sister said "no I ******* hate it leave me the **** alone." Guy calls her a bitch and walks off.

10 minutes later, guy asks if we'd give him money since he hadn't eaten in 4 days. I told him "**** off we are eating." He then asks for more money and then asks why we wont give him any. Sisters friend stands up and tells the guy to leave. He then went to the next table that was a woman by herself and said, "Get on your hands and knees and suck my dick bitch." Everyone at our table gets up to confront the guy and he ran away.

My sister manages a record store in downtown Portland. She gets to deal with beggars getting mad and taking ***** on the sidewalk or pissing in the store if no one (employees or customers) gives them money.

Had a friend that owned a bar in Deep Ellum a few years ago. Went there quite a bit, tried being nice by saying no to beggars....... but eventually it has to get to the point where you tell them to **** off before they leave.

I'm not saying I won't give money to them. But if they annoy me I've got no problem telling them off.

I have no sympathy for beggars. I always assume they're just scamming people, so I pretend like I'm broke as well. The dirtiest bum you've ever seen may walk around the corner to his Lexus/BMW/etc. and go to his job the next day.

All very true, plus in Tx over all as a state there is more work than people albeit minimal labor jobs but non the less it's work. Some people just don't believe in self respect, esteem and ethics. It would NEVER cross my mind to take advantage of anyone or a disaster situation, i now know scum comes in all forms and genders and even income's too.
