yes it was, i waited in line for at least an hour to get in the gate, way better track and event than our 1/8th mile

I think, but im not sure some people are saying it was a one time deal until 2009.....but im not sure ill check into it for ya

The track turnout was unbelievable, there were 200+ RACE cars. Not pick ups and Cadillacs trying to get their test n tune numbers. Race cars!!! It was a blast. I showed up at 12:30 and was about 20 cars deep in line. By the time we were let in the line was backed up past the hill on I-20. About 4000+ fans were in attendance according to the PA. The events lasted till about 4 AM. Would have been sooner had there bee no down time. A motorcycle layed over at the end of the run. the return lane was blocked by parked cars for about 30 min. Then a west Texas True ten five car blew his motor spewing motor oil all over the place and then another ten five car rolled into the wall, all alowing for about 3 1/2 hours of down time.
Other than that it was freakin amazing. I got about 3 passes in before brackets. I got eliminated in the first round then we found out there were no by backs because of the high turnout. If they would have let us by back we would have been there till 7AM.
