Default The firehawk is back

Well after 5 hours of work today the firehawk is running again and is NOT burning oil. I was told I had a ring roblem after doing a camswap and upgrading the valvetrain. Turns out it was the valve stem seals that I did not personally put in. I am considering this a valuable lesson that doing it yourself always does one of two things, either you fix it right or the only person you have to blame is yourself Now if I can just get a good tune I'll be in business!!

Exactly! I had a similar situation, so now all the work on my car is done by me.

Three things, you save yourself a load of money. Congrads on getting your car running, also enjoy the nice cold air that is coming to us now to pep things up.

10 bolt is fried. Best I could get was an 8.67. I heard a popping noise every time I shifted gears coming from the rear end. I'm thinking about 4.10 gears and new axles. Anybody have any ideas other than a 2100$ 12 bolt or a 9"

Other than upgrading...

Rebuild the 10bolt then pray and cross your fingers that it'll hold up. Personally, instead of rebuilding I'd get an inexpensive pull out 10 bolt and run it while saving $ for a 12 bolt or 9".
