Default Water spots on paint

O.K., who has the secret formula for removing water spots from the paint. Anyone who has a black car knows that these spots are very visilble after some time. Research on the web suggests a vinegar bath. Any of you guys out there know what works, fill me in please.

Usually a polish would work.

50/50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water. Works every time. Yes, you will need to re-wax afterward.

I am about to try this myself. Very annoying. I have soft water at the house that doesn't spot, but I made the mistake several times of using a touch-free wash for a quick hose down, and now it's so spotted that it's almost dull even with a coat of polish.
